It's been awhile so I thought I'd update ya' all on what's been happening- not a whole lot! lol. Life goes on as usual, same ol' same ol'. I've been looking into a project that my brother mentioned to me a while back which is to set up a chicken coop. Been doing some research and hitting the forums and asking some questions. Looks doable. Only gonna get a couple of birds which will only require one nest box for so few birds. Have not decided on the species yet but it will be either Rhode Island Red or Black Australorps. Both are good egg layers and easy going species. I'm leaning toward the Australorps mainly because they are known to be quiet birds which suit my urban setting nicely. Not too sure if Roseville allows chickens to be kept by households but I do not see the harm in keeping a couple as long as they do not bug the neighbors.
On the Tarantula front, nothing much happening there. Found my male T. blondi on its back last night- hope the molt goes well.

Battle to keep Black widow population in check is still ongoing- the babies are a real pain. They web all over the inside of my enclosures and they run and hide when I open the enclosures. All I've been doing is removing their webs over and over again and hope they get fed up and move elsewhere- hopefully outside of the enclosure where I can use the vacuum and suck them up!
